I know I'm a week late on the biweekly announcements, and for that I apologize! I lost track of when I was supposed to do it again and when I remembered it was already too late, so I figured I'd wait til my usual posting day to keep things on a weekend basis. At least this gives me much more to announce, though!
Anyways, enough with my rambling excuses, on with the announcements!
Sadistic recounts a scary experince in the bathroom in Creepy that I'd never want to be on the receiving end of. ( viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1837 )
LawrenceTheSpider has made a great suggestion in Entertainment for a podcast I'm sure everyone here would enjoy. ( viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1784 )
Glitch in the Matrix offers up a puzzling thread by katra about getting lost in the dark. I don't know about you but I think it's awful hard to just get lost in the room they describe. Read it and see what conclusion you can come to to explain their experience. ( viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1768 )
In Paranormal Slushi3 has posted a thread about her mother's abilities to see beyond what we see through dreams about her children. I found it very touching. ( viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1823 )
If you want a read that makes you nervous about being home alone, then killjoy97's short thread might be what you need in Scary Encounters. ( viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1847 )
Let me welcome our new community member kenzie-tea, who has written a short but great story in the Story Forum called The shower started to grow fur. ( viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1847 )
Finally, I'd like to announce that the Battle of the Cryptids is finally over. If I do something like this again I will have far less competitors since I may have overdone it on choices this first time around. lol But we do officially have a winner finally, and it is the Wendigo! Congrats to our favorite creepy cryptid!
Last, but not least, I'd like to remind everyone to make sure that they have at least 10 posts for their entries into the story contest to be valid. I would also like to take this time that if they do post to other stories that it should be polite and constructive. Simply putting "I didn't care much for this" or "the grammar was bad" isn't very constructive. Suggest where changes should be made and point out what you did like about the story. That way the author can tweak their story and learn for their next story. Writing is a learning experience and we encourage everyone to help one another in perfecting their work.
